Jeff Nichols
Trainwreck – My life as an Idoit.
Jeff Nichols is a mess. He’s a stuttering, Learning Disabled, dyslexic idiot. But he’s funny as hell and he’s a non-drinker.
I suggest that you buy his book: Trainwreck. While it may not offer descriptive ideas on how to stay sober, this guy is living proof that you can do all kinds of crazy wacked-out shit, and still live without alcohol. Jeff is a standup comedian, a self-proclaimed fuck-up and a Charter Fisherman.
Oh sure, he drank and did drugs for many years (like many of us), but he has gone without a drink for more than 16 years. Imagine yourself working in Nightclubs and Comedy Clubs without ever drinking. It takes guts to get up in front of an audience – completely sober. His self-deprecating humor is hilarious, but this is a strong man who has the willpower to live as a non-drinker.
If you think I’m crude, disgusting and foul, wait until you read this fucknut! It is a very funny book, and it has resulted in a movie. If nothing else, you’ll feel better about your own life after you read Trainwreck.
His website is: www.Jeff-Nichols.com
Trainwreck is available at Amazon.com and in Book Stores – just ask for it.
Suggested Reading:
Reading books has helped keep my mind off of drinking, it has furthered my knowledge and has been helping me become a better person. Here's a list of some books that I suggest reading. They are not directly related to alcoholism or addiction but they have helped me to understand how to accept personal responsibility for my own thoughts and actions. Some are very thought provoking - some are just fun to read. I hope you enjoy them.

"How to Win Friends and Influence People" / Dale Carnegie
"Blind Spots" / Madeleine L. Van Hecke, PhD
"Blink" / Malcolm Gladwell
